7:45 AM Base Camp Set Up Pick up your shirt, sign, and flyers. Sidewalk outside of W.B. Travis Building
8:15 AM The Morning Rally Joint rally! South/West Building Entrance
8:45 AM Security Sweep We will begin to move inside for the public meeting. If we have a large number of protestors, we will take shifts. Security lines can take 20+ minutes for 100+ people, and does include a metal detector. Lobby Security
9:15 AM Sign-In & Seating Protestors sign the official "Public Comment" sheet. 7th Floor, Hearing Room
9:30 AM Meeting Begins Silent protest of unified effort Hearing Room
11:30 AM Group Shift If we have enough protestors, we will rotate positions with Group B Outside/Lobby
1:00 PM Walk to the Governor A small delegation of leaders will walk an Open Letter to the Governor's Office Governor's Office - 1100 Congress Ave, Austin, TX

Helpful Notes

 

  • Primary Parking: The Capitol Visitors Parking Garage (1201 San Jacinto Blvd). It is the most affordable and reliable.

  • Backup Parking: The Bob Bullock Museum Garage (1800 Congress Ave). It’s a 5-minute walk but usually has more space.

  • Security Note: Every person will go through a metal detector. Remind your group to leave pocket knives and multi-tools at home or in the car, as they will be confiscated.
